My University Fashion staples

Dressing for college has now become part of my everyday routine, one of the major credentials is that it has to be quick and easy to throw on especially with all the nine o clock lectures that I now unfortunately seem to have been landed with. Although I want it to be comfortable throughout the day I also want to feel confident and put together and this for me is often a hard balance to reach and I often feel that I’m putting in too little/too much effort and thought into an outfit.

I have just finished my first week back in the new semester of college and I honestly didn’t realise how much I missed it. There is something so relaxing in a way of having a set routine and being able to plan your day ahead of you, maybe that’s just me! There is also coupled with this an air of independence that I also missed while on my holidays, nothing beats knowing every decision that you make is up to you and can really focus on making yourself happy.

As you can see from my last outfit post I have a winter style emerging and that is a sweater paired with a pair of jeans and boots. For me this an outfit that fits my needs, it keeps me warm while also making me feel confident and ready to start the long day ahead of me.

There is one tip that I have picked up in my two years of university and that is planning the night before what you are going to wear the next day. This will literally take 5-10 minutes yet alleviates any stress in the morning of routing through the piles and piles of clothes looking for anything presentable to throw on. It also has made my morning routine that much quicker because like many people I am the person to sleep as long as I can before I have to drag myself out of my cozy bed.

Also how cute is this mini bag that I have been using for college! I usually have an enormous bag with me everywhere I go but its undoubtedly more realistic to have this bag because I never need that much while I’m going about my day on campus. This bag is by the brand Spirit and is such amazing quality, its lightweight but also super sturdy. Another unique feature is that the straps can zip up to become a cross-body bag so there many options in the way that this bag can be worn which I absolutely adore.
